Templates – 10/26/14 Update on the Health Care Informatics Website

Hey everyone! This week I don’t have much to report. I’ve now started to build page templates for all of the pages on the Health Care Informatics website. In other words, what I’m now doing is going through each of the major pages and, instead of dummy lorem ipsum text, am placing actual dummy content for that page. For example, the Faculty page now has a fake list of faculty, with their images, descriptions, etc. This means that when I actually receive the content, it doesn’t require me to do all of the page design at the same time. Now, the page design is taken care of and content can be placed in more easily. I’ve also done this with the other pages, like the Current Students directory, by building out an alphabetical table of imaginary students. Dr. Mack hasn’t sent me any real content yet, but now when he does I should be able to start piecing it together quickly as the “templates” for each page should be completed by then. All the templates now are far from complete, and will definitely require some fine tuning for the final launch of the HCI website, but it’s good work to get started now!

That’s it for this week. Cya next one.
